# \[ME336] Collaborative Robot Learning

2022 Spring

## Course Description

The course introduces collaborative robots and robot learning, connecting robot design and perception with machine learning, neural networks, sequential decision-making and artificial intelligence. The introductory lecture describes the aim as a structural, object-centric decomposition of unstructured physical interactions into shareable and reproducible machine intelligence through design and learning.

## Course Instructor & Teaching Team

**Instructor:** Song Chaoyang\
**Institution:** Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech)\
**Term:** 2022 Spring

## Grading Policy

Course assessment consists of classroom participation and three individual projects:

| Component               | Weight | Requirements                                                                    |
| ----------------------- | ------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Classroom participation | 10% | One point per attendance check, over 15 weeks, normalized to the 10% component. |
| Individual project 1    | 30%    | Code submission 10%; video report 10%; presentation slides 10%.                 |
| Individual project 2    | 30%    | Code submission 10%; video report 10%; presentation slides 10%.                 |
| Individual project 3    | 30%    | Code submission 10%; video report 10%; presentation slides 10%.                 |

Each project is completed individually. Code is assessed for successful execution, coverage of the assigned task, documentation, readability and reuse. Videos and presentation slides are assessed for technical background, implementation explanation, demonstration, structure and discussion; compliance with submission requirements and timing also appears in the rubric.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://x.ancorasir.com/me336/2022-spring/me336-collaborative-robot-learning.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
